Washington Service Corps projects focus on environmental stewardship, literacy and math tutoring to struggling students, disaster preparedness training, nutrition and healthy lifestyle education, providing services to veterans in need, helping senior citizens and disabled adults live more independently – and much more!

  • Individual Placement projects consist of one to four members, while Team-Based projects have 5-45 members.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program year.

Washington Reading Corps projects consist of one-on-one and small-group tutoring of children in preschool through fourth grade to improve their reading skills.

  • Projects consist of one to four members.
  • Members serve in elementary schools and early learning centers.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program year.
