Individual or small-group projects focus on environmental stewardship, literacy and math tutoring to struggling students, disaster preparedness training, nutrition and healthy lifestyle education, providing services to veterans in need, and helping senior citizens and disabled adults live more independently – just to name a few.

  • Projects consist of one to four members.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program year.

Like individual placement, Team-based projects also focus on environmental stewardship, literacy and math tutoring to struggling students, disaster preparedness training, nutrition and healthy lifestyle education, providing services to veterans in need, helping senior citizens and disabled adults live more independently – and much more!

  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program year.

Washington Reading Corps projects consist of one-on-one and small-group tutoring of students in kindergarten through sixth grade to improve the students’ reading skills.

  • Projects consist of one to four members.
  • Members serve in elementary schools and early learning centers.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program year.
